Dr. Jewoong Moon named Educational Gamification and Game-based Learning (EGG) sub conference co-chair for the 30th International Conference on Computers in Education (ICCE2022). Dr. Jewoong Moon has published educational games and simulation studies for years and he is excited to join the 2022 organizing committee. ICCE2022 is the premier conference organized by Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE). It is an independent academic society whose broad objective is to promote the conduct and communication of scientific research related to all aspects of the use of computers in education, especially within the Asia-Pacific.

Dr. Jewoong Moon, Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies (ADIE Lab), was among seven University of Alabama faculty awarded a funded Joint Pilot for Arts Research project, co-sponsored by CARI, the College of Education, and the Office for Research and Economic Development.
JPAR supports projects that integrate the arts and education in order to conduct meaningful investigations of problems and issues in both fields of study. Dr. Jewoong Moon published a review article entitled "A scoping review of three computational approaches to ethnographic research in digital learning environments." in the journal TechTrends. This review article addresses how computational data analytics and mining has been utilized for ethnographic research across various digital learning environments.
